Identity, Collaterals
Mexico

Oriana Rodríguez is a Mexican designer that combines traditional leather craftwork, with some touches of Wixárika artisanal embroidery and a French savoir-faire. Her creations use geometry and bold designs, to dress up or dress down, as the day unwinds. A signature piece for any look.

The bespoke letterforms reflect the brand’s thoughtful attention to detail and timeless simplicity. We created a monogram that highlights craftsmanship and quality. A typographic combination of sans serif fonts balances old-world sensibilities with a modern take. The color palette is minimal, so products can shine through and be relevant. The use of materials such as a beeswax seal on the envelope, cotton paper, and blind embossing, create a tactile stationery that elevates the shopping experience.

VUI VUI

VUI VUI

2021
Branding, Packaging
United Kingdom

VUI VUI is a luxurious natural range of skincare essentials, created in small batches using only natural botanical ingredients ethically and sustainably sourced in the UK. As a flight attendant, founder Carl Sung, a.k.a. Vui, has always been inspired by his travels and nature, from the Siberian wilderness to unseen tropical rainforests. VUI VUI’s collection nourishes, soothes, and cleanses the skin, free of harmful ingredients.

For this project, we created everything from identity and packaging, tagline, and photography direction, helping the brand bring a timeless experience to any skin routine. The brand symbol is a butterfly in full flight, as a representation of positive change and self metamorphosis. For the packaging, we created a set of original botanical illustrations that feel sophisticated with a modern take. Color use is bold, distinctive and helps differentiate each product across categories

Casa Selva

Casa Selva

2019
Identity, Packaging
Mexico

Casa Selva is a skincare line that started out of a love story, inspired by magic Tulum and its lush jungle botanicals. Honest & Clean beauty made with pure ingredients, to elevate the daily ritual of self-care.

We designed a bespoke logotype where air and open space play graciously around each letter. Typography plays a leading role, to set a system that prioritizes honesty and effortless reading. A set of the 3 most important icons complete the look & feel of the brand. We redesigned a symbol that features a sophisticated palm tree for Casa Selva, which is also a monogram that is used in selected pieces.

Packaging has a detail of surprise when opening each box, with a fine line jungle pattern. Finally, all these elements come together into a wrapping paper that elevates the brand’s voice into a new phase.

Casa Selva, elevate your ritual with ease.

Soonā

Soona

2019
Identity, Collaterals
Mexico

Soona, moon in Otomí indigenous language.

Our aim was to design an identity that would stand out from the typical yoga studios. We wanted to make a nod to Otomí artisan heritage, by integrating some florals and animals into the mark and identity patterns. The symbol is the abstraction of a bunny in a meditative posture, nurtured by the moon, in a continuum cycle of peace and contentment. Typography is minimal with a slight reference to a crescent moon.

The pastel-coloured blue, mineral grey and white, create a calming effect, inspired by Ayurvedic practices.

Soona, a window into oneself discovery through yoga practice.

Amper

Amper

2019
Identity, Collaterals
Mexico

Love has evolved, and so have weddings and celebrations of love. Gone are the days of stiff attitudes and posed photography. Jacquie, Amper’s photographer and founder, seeks to bring authenticity and charm to one of the most important days in a couple’s life.

We created the name, Amper (ampere in English), which is the base unit of electric current in the International System of Units. Staying away from love clichés, we wanted to communicate the deep sensations of being in love in a new way, just like an electric jolt.

A unique wordmark celebrates this bold, true spirit, along with a fine wave that softness the identity. Some nude hues here and there, bring out a gender neutral look and feel.

Amper, celebrating Happy Love Stories.

Little Prince

Little Prince

2019
Identity, Collaterals
United States

Little Prince is a charming neighborhood bistro in the heart of Soho, New York City, that features non—classique French bistro selections like a signature French Onion Soup Burger with caramelized onions and gruyère.

Little Prince holds a frequently rotating wine & beer program, highlighting unique French and local beers and seasonal French cocktails. Dramatic floral arrangements accent the light-filled space, with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on to bustling Prince Street. Caramel banquettes line the walls and the wooden bar is warmly lit by classic glove pendant lamps. Hand-painted ceramic floor tiles complete the bistro ambience.

When we were asked to redesign Little Prince identity, we were delighted to bring a little French finesse to the bistro. We designed a custom wordmark that depicts this spirit, followed by a set of collaterals including menu, business cards and labels for their cold brew drink. We were inspired by the classic Breton shirt with blue stripes, added a touch of red and paired it with some quirky wording set in a contemporary use of type.

Little Prince Bistro Non—Classique, cozy, adorable, fun.

Betún de Mantequilla

Betún de
Mantequilla

2018
Branding, Collaterals
Mexico

Betún de Mantequilla is a fine print boutique in Guadalajara, Mexico. When Kristyna asked us to redesign her branding, we couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with her, to elevate her brand to the place it deserved, where the premium quality they deliver in each project, was depicted throughout the branding suite.

Translated from Spanish as butter glaze, Betún de Mantequilla offers an ample range of services and superb quality, from classic print techniques like silkscreen and hot stamping, to all kinds of tactile finishes, positioning them as one of a kind purveyor of beautifully crafted print.

We created a bespoke lettering wordmark with a wink to boutique bakeries. Paired the logo with an icon that features a drop of ink falling from a traditional balloon whisk. A subtle typography system highlight the artisanal quality that Betún de Mantequilla offers.

A fine print boutique with a buttery gusto!

XL Mezcal

XL Mezcal

2018
Packaging
United States

XL Mezcal is a collaboration with a dear client and friend. He wanted to launch a special edition mezcal for his birthday celebration, so we were asked to design a label that portrayed his personality and philosophy. The label features spontaneous typographic combinations, small vintage-inspired vignettes, and hints of his personal path.

Made in Oaxaca from 100% agave Espadín and Tobalá, XL Mezcal is bottled by maestro mezcalero Fortino Ramos.

A true Mexican mezcal for spirituous moments to celebrate.

Nochiola

Nochiola

2018
Identity, Packaging
Mexico

Nochiola is a brand of healthy snacks based in Mexico City. Aimed to support a healthy lifestyle in the midst of a hectic routine, Nochiola offers 4 categories of snacks: veggie chips, churritos, dried fruits and nuts. Each variety is carefully produced with no additives such as sugar, artificial dyes or preservatives.

When Rocío knocked on our studio, we knew we had to get involved. We wanted our design to portrait rich life through illustrations that talk about simplicity, whilst hinting the ingredients found on each bag, with a naïve touch. We designed the logotype inspired by a plant based lifestyle, so the icon reflects growth and a certain sparkle of energy. A warm subtle color palette keeps a light spirit to the brand.

Nochiola is growing beautifully into a community driven by quality snacks without sacrificing flavor.

Ápice

Ápice

2018
Naming, Identity, Packaging
Mexico

Ápice creates beautiful handmade home accessories, inspired by Mexican traditional handcraft, with a wink to Nordic design. A curated collection of functional pieces that stand the test of time, while bringing a fresh breath of simplicity to any space.

We created the brand name, Ápice. Apex in Spanish is not only the high point but also the smallest part of something, and the punctuation detail of a letter. Ápice was the perfect portrayal of a thoughtful brand that takes care of all the fine details.

The logotype depicts a sense of natural space. The symbol is the maximum synthesis of letter A with the wordmark’s accent. The gold foil accents bring a warm and sophisticated touch throughout the stationery set. Finally, we created a series of hand-drawn illustrations, to complement the idea of taking to a home interior, something from the outdoor.
